I am a mother and educator first, and being an author is another way for me to share the values I hold dear: self-discipline, self-trust, self-responsibility, self-reflection, and self-evaluation—all of which cultivate truthful self-guidance. Each of us is born with unique gifts and talents that we can use to create a meaningful and respectful coexistence. I hope to encourage thoughtful understanding and open-hearted connection beyond restrictive ideologies. This philosophy led me to write my first book, Little Mantis: And the Wordless Law.

Growing up as a German with Bosnian-Herzegovinian roots gave me a firsthand understanding of how a multicultural upbringing shapes perspectives. Living in Japan for nearly past two decades has further strengthened my ability to keep an open mind and focus on what unites cultures, rather than what divides them.
